Robin A. Weaver

Robin Weaver has more than 35 years of local government experience covering most areas of local government and extensive leadership experience with regional entities and coalitions. She is particularly experienced and focused on sustainability, citizen engagement, public works and the recruitment/retainment of talented people in the local government profession. Weaver's career includes serving as village administrator in Roselle, Ill. and retiring as director of public works in Normal, Ill. Post retirement, her encore career consists of teaching, short-term interim work, government consultation, mentoring and providing expertise internationally (economic development in Jordan and local government effectiveness in Kosovo).

Weaver is a senior advisor with the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the Illinois City/County Management Association. (ILCMA) providing support services to membership in a voluntary capacity. She has served as president and on many committees of both the Illinois Association of Municipal Management Assistants (IAMMA) and ILCMA. She serves on the ICMA International Committee and also serves on the ICMA Task Force to Guide Veterans transitioning to Local Government. Additionally, she is a board director and committee chair on the Legacy Project to encourage women in government. Her article on budgeting was published in Public Management; she co-authored a white paper on sustainability, and has several articles published in the ILCMA newsletter.

Weaver is the first recipient of IAMMA's Outstanding Mentor Award and in 2017 was recognized by ILCMA with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
