Andy Williams

Andy Williams teaches PSPA 657x Accounting for Public Administration. He is currently the controller for Oakton Community College, where he manages the college’s finances and leads the areas of accounting, budgeting, purchasing, payroll, cashiering, and accounts receivable. His role includes management of the annual budget process, preparation of property tax levies, coordination of the annual audit, and compilation of the comprehensive annual financial report.

Before serving at Oakton, Andy was controller for the College of Lake County. Williams has worked for Oak Park Township as their business manager and for the City of Chicago Office of Budget and Management (OBM). At OBM, he was assigned to public safety and human services departments. Prior to that, he was a policy analyst at the Government Finance Officers Association specializing in performance management where he authored publications, taught seminars, and participated in consulting projects.
